Klein Oak has just over 700 student parking spaces. Our senior and junior classes for 2018-19, eligible for a parking permit, will each be close to 900 students. Please, understand that it is not possible for everyone to have a parking permit.

Seniors will receive priority in purchasing parking permits. After seniors have purchased parking permits the remaining will be sold to juniors who have registered for and had their student ID numbers drawn in a lottery.

Here's an overview timeline. Details are below.

Senior Parking Permits

Senior Parking Permits: You must be officially classified as a senior as of August 1, 2018

Seniors: If you have a carpool partner: The partner must be another senior or a junior- You will have first priority on available parking spaces. Both students (junior carpool partner included) must meet the bulleted requirements that are listed below.

You both must meet the following requirements in order to purchase a parking permit:

  • Be officially classified as a senior. (junior if carpooling)
  • Have a driver’s license (not a learner’s permit). Bring with you to pick up tag.
  • Have a current liability insurance with student listed as an authorized driver. Please bring a copy that we can keep as we need to have a copy.
  • No report card holds

A carpooler means each person will take turns driving their own vehicle, sharing one parking space, but not both drive and park on the same day.

If, as carpoolers, you decide to purchase a tag in the Early Release Lot, both students must have early release year round (Both semesters). The other two parking lots to choose from are the North Lot (in front of freshman wing) and the South Lot (in the athletic area).

The senior must be the one that registers online and pays for the permit on School Cash as only senior ID numbers will be eligible to purchase. Cost of the Parking tag is $50.00.

Registration for senior carpooling will take place on the Klein Oak website on July 28 through July 30 @ 11:59 pm.

Below is a screenshot of the information form carpoolers will fill out and submit from July 28-30. This form must be submitted in order to be considered for carpooling.
