Klein Oak High School is accredited by the Texas Education Agency and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Klein Oak opened its doors in 1982 and today is one of five high schools in Klein ISD. Klein ISD covers 97.5 square miles of north Harris County and serves 53,328 students.

Klein Oak High School is located in the northern part of the district in a small, but growing, residential suburban community. It is approximately 40 minutes from downtown Houston. Klein Oak is composed of grades 9-12 with an enrollment of 3510 students. Klein Oak is one of eight schools that comprise District 15-6A.
