SPC (E-4) Matthew C. Mason - Class of 1992
13F – Fire Support Specialist (Artillery / Mortars Forward Observer)

Served at Fort Riley, KS (1st Infantry Division 1994-95) and Camp Casey, Republic of Korea (2nd Infantry Division 1996 – 97)

Graduated from the University of Houston, May 2011 (MBA – Global Energy Management)

PFC Nicholas Walsh, U.S.M.C. - Class of 2011
Nicholas Walsh attend Klein schools from the 3rd grade until his graduation from Klein Oak in June of 2011.

At Klein Oak Nicholas was a four year letterman for the KO Wrestling team. He won the team's "Ironman" award during his junior year - presented to the mentally and physically toughest wrestler on the team. Nicholas captain the wrestling team his senior year. Coach Brad Ewing said that Nicholas led by example with his work ethic and encouragement of teammates.

Nicholas decided to join the United States Marine Corp his senior year and participated with the Marine Recruitment Center during that year. Nicholas enlisted after graduation and entered boot camp July 28, 2011. Upon completion and graduation from boot camp October 14, 2011 he graduated 2nd of 550 Marines in Delta Company and received the title of Honor Seriesman. Nicholas's current MOS is Ground Electronics Maintenance.

Specialist Anna K. Leura-Segura - Class of 2007
Anna K. Leura-Segura (aka Mickey) is currently in the U.S. Active Army as a Specialist stationed at FT. Lewis, Washington and working as an Electrical Engineer. While at Klein Oak she was in AFJROTC, which convinced herto join the military. She graduated from Klein Oak May 24, 2007 and joined the Army July 24, 2007. Anna went to Basic Training in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri and was then stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii until January 02, 2012. She served in Mosul, Iraq from November 18, 2008 to November 16, 2009 with the 84th Engineer BN. Anna is already into her second enlistment with no retirement in the near future.
Sgt. Daniel James Agold, U.S.M.C. - Class of 2004
Daniel is a Platoon Sgt. - Heavy Equipment Platoon - in Okinawa Daniel was 4-year member of Klein Oak Band.
Captain Corey McVeigh, U.S.M.C. - Class of 1995
Corey is a US Marine Corps Harrier Pilot stationed at Cherry Point, N.C. He served in Iraq from Aug 2005 until Mar 2006 and another tour is planned for Jan. through Aug. 2007. On the first combat tour Corey flew 267 combat hours, 144 combat missions, and was directly responsible for ridding the world of a handful of terrorists. He recieved five Air Medals for actions in Iraq.

PFC James Evan Ponshock, Jr. - Class of 2004
James played football, was a pole vaulter and a 4 yr member of FFA while at KO.
Lance Corporal Christopher Lee Garces, U.S.M.C. - Class of 2003
Christopher, a former KO ROTC member, is stationed at Camp Pendelton, California.
PVT E-2 James Michael Lowe, U.S. Army - Class of 2003
Michael joined the military last March. He has already served in Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne Div. He was there for the recent elections.
PFC Charles *Aaron* Claxton, U.S.M.C. - Class of 2003
Aaron was a three year varsity wrestler for Klein Oak. Wrestling remains his passion.
PFC Matthew Christopher Howell, U.S.M.C. - Class of 2003
Matthew's marriage to Amanda Billiris had to be postponed due to a reassignment to Japan. They plan to be married during a leave in the summer of 2006. He will be finished in Japan in 2007.

Patrick is on the right in the picture. Steven Thogood is on the left.
Spec. Jodi-Lee Sanders Chason, U.S. Army - Class of 2002
Jodi is scheduled to return to the states for training in Arizona. After a brief stint at Ft. Hood (Killeen, TX) she will be sent either to Iraq or back to Korea for service on the DMZ.
Corporal Eric Salley, U.S.M.C. - Class of 2001
Eric served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. The picture was taken on March 20th, 2003, the first day of the war and shows Eric with prisoners his unit - the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit - took that day. Eric returned from his second deployment in September 2004.
Corporal William *Cody* Jordan, U.S.M.C. - Class of 2001
Cody completed his training at Camp Pendleton. He has previously served in New Orleans before assignment to Okinawa in April 2004.

Spec. Joshua Tice, U.S. Army - Class of 2000
Medic - Baghdad, Iraq. Joshua cut short a college career to volunteer for the Army on September 13, 2001.
Chief Warrant Officer Andrew Todd Arnold, U.S.M.C. - Class of 1990
Andrew Arnold was killed in Iraq on April 22, 2003. He is survived by a wife and two children, among others. Click here for more information.
Sergeant Robert Christopher Dowell, U.S.M.C. - Class of 1999
Ar Ramadi, Iraq - 2nd tour - Fox Co. 2nd Battalion /1st Marines. Chris has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat Valor Device and also the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat Valor Device. Both Awards were received by Chris for heroics during the Battles for Falluja in Nov. of 2004 and An Naziriyah in Apr. of 2003. While at KO Chris was a member of FFA and also a Bull rider for the National High School Rodeo Association.

Haditha Dam, Iraq. "Trey" is with the Mobile Assault Platoon 4 (MAP 4).
PFC Jason E. Manning, U.S.M.C. - Class of 1999
Jason enlisted in Dec. 2002 and graduated from MCRD San Diego in April of 2003. His platoon, #1066, was the top graduating class. Jason has both a son and a daughter.
Lt. Elizabeth McGovney, U.S. Army - Class of 1999
Elizabeth graduated from West Point in May 2004. She will depart for Iraq on Dec. 28, 2004.
Jeff Drawe, U.S. Navy - Class of 1994
Jeff was President of the Klein Oak Class of 1994 and is a helicopter piilot in the Navy.
Captain Jacob L. Hammons, U.S.A.F. - Class of 1996
Graduated From US Air Force Academy (Colorado Spings, CO) in May 2000; Graduated Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training Sheppard Air Force Base (Wichita Falls), TX in Feb 2002; Graduated F-15 Basic Course Tyndall AFB (Panama City), FL in Jan 2003. Jake has been in Alaska nearly 2 years flying the F-15 Eagle and loving it. He have been married for a year and a half. So far he have been deployed to Iceland, Australia, Japan, and Las Vegas, NV.

Petty Officer Anthony Joseph Artino, U.S.N. - Class of 1998
Anthony Artino served two years on the USS Kitty Hawk, including three months in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is currently an aviation ordinance man. In the Navy since 1998, he has just reenlisted for six years.

Branch: US Army (3 years), Washington State National Guard (5 years) Rank: SGT (E-5) Recent Assingment: Just returned from year deployment in Iraq, on standby for Hurricane Katrina Relief Year of Graduation: 1993 Notes: I served in Iraq. My main mission was to provide convoy support and security for Army and Air Force EOD (Bomb disposal). My secondary mission was Operations NCO for a company of 300 personnel.

E3, STGSN James Todd Randolph, U.S.N. - Class of 1987
San Diego, Pearl Harbor, USS Badger FF-1071, USS Harold E. Holt FF-1074. Todd has said his most vivid memories revolve around the damage from the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, still evident on Pearl Harbor facilities, and his shipís involvement in the rescue of Vietnamese refugees, still risking their lives to escape.
