The deadline for the senior ads for the 2010 yearbook has been extended. You have until Friday to turn in your contract and deposit. For more information please come by room 163.
Girls Soccer tryouts will be held Nov. 30th- Dec. 2nd from 2:30-4:30. If you are interested in trying out you must have a physical on file to do so.

This Friday and Saturday, 17 KOHS Orchestra and Band Students will participate in the Region 9 Orchestra Festival at Klein Forest H.S. The two high school Orchestra concert times are at 4:00 and 5:00 pm on Saturday in the KFHS Auditorium Admission is free. Please come to a concert and support our great KOHS Region members.
HOSA members remember community service projects on Sat: Atria, Heritage, Touch a Plane for Cooper and the Speech & Debate tournament. Check LMS for details!!!!!
Congratulations to Klein Oak's Panther Player of the Month: Ashley Hollier. She has won seven medals since participating in Special Olympics. Congratulations Ashley!
Recycling will be done during 2nd and 3rd periods please have your boxes placed outside of your office/classroom?
The Klein Oak girls varsity golf team captured the KISD fall invitational championship with Caroline Powell finishing 1st medalist and Caitlin Smith and Kendal Buechler finishing 3rd medalist.
The KOG girls second team finished 2nd in the tournament led by Emily Wertanen. |

Our blood drive is December 1st. If you are 16 years old and weigh at least 122 pounds or 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds, you are eligible to donate. Please stop by the table at lunch to sign up. The last day to sign up is Thursday, so make sure you get your sheet signed and turned in by then. Thank you.

There will be a judge's training meeting for the Junior High Speech/Drama tournament before or after school on Tuesday Nov. 17 and Thursday Nov. 19.
Young Conservatives will meet Thursday at 2:30 in room 238A.
Students: Reminder about letter jackets: If you were given a packet for letter jackets, measuring will take place on Thursday Nov. 19 during all lunches in the teaching theatre.

Attention Juniors :This is the last week of our Cookie Dough fundraiser. If you did not receive an order form from your English teacher, see Mrs. Medearis in room 264. All order forms are due this Friday, Nov. 13th. You may either turn them in to your English teacher or directly to Mrs. Medearis. Remember, selling 24 tubs of cookie dough will get you a free prom ticket for your 2011 Sr. prom!
In honor of all Veterans, we will be having a RED WHITE and BLUE day this Wednesday. Wear red, white, and blue and show your gratitude. Thanks Klein Oak!
Seniors Herff Jones will be back taking graduation and cap and gown orders on Wednesday November 11th. All you need to order graduation items is your $80.00 down payment.

Attaining membership into a Texas All State orchestra is considered to be one of the highest individual honors a music student can achieve during their high school career. Mr. De Jong and Ms. Cabungcal are honored to announce that three KOHS Orchestra students were just selected into the 2010 TMEA All State Orchestras. Making the String Orchestra on violin is Renee Lai. Making the Philharmonic Orchestra on viola is Danielle Collado. Making the Symphony Orchestra on violin is Carl Rogers. Congratulations upon your exemplary honor and accomplishment!
Next S.T.A.R.S meeting will be Nov.19th
Swim team was at A&M University on Saturday against 29 teams and the boys team finished second overall! It was a true team effort. Lead by Evan Pohler, Jake Miller, Chris Dowell, Dahryl Daduya, Connor Morgan, Ryan Massey and Callum Hevle. The girls team was just as impressive with a ninth place finish over all. Fianalist were Kelsey Frymire, Lauren Walker and Taylor Davidson. It was a great day for Klein Oak swimming. |

There will be a French Club meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 6:45 and again at 2:30 in room 183.
Seniors-representatives from Herff Jones will be taking graduation and cap & gown orders on Wednesday and Thursday. All you need is your $80.00 down payment.
This week Klein Oak Panthers game will be on Thursday, Nov. 5th against Dekaney at Klein Memorial Stadium at 7:00 p.m. Good Luck Boys! Tickets and Klein Oak Booster Club Items will be on sale in the commons on Wednesday Nov. 4th and Thursday 5th. Tickets are Adults: $5.00 and Students (K - 12th grade) $3.00. Come out and support your Klein Oak Football team and help them get another win by "Waking Up The Wildcats!"
Sub-Varsity games are scheduled for Thursday night: Soph. & JV games are away at Dekaney HS at 4:30 & 6:30 p.m.; Freshman games are home at 4:30 & 6:30 p.m.
Attention all Mu Alpha Theta members, there will be a meeting this Wednesday at 6:45 and at 2:30 in the teaching theater.
